At four months she's smiling, cooing, squealing, and laughing. She adores the ceiling fan in our bedroom, bats at the toys hanging from her car seat, and creeps toward enticing toys. She is sleeping peacefully through the night and is still working on rolling over. She found her hands the other day and has been obsessed with those silly things ever since.

Four Months
How is it possible that my tiny, baby Lyla has a chubby little chin and leg rolls? And how could it be that she's now twice the size of "Cupcake?"

Lyla's Nursery
Now that Lyla is four months old, I finally finished her room. I can't tell you how happy it makes me to walk into a room that has a crib in it every single morning, because that means there's a bundle of sweet smelling baby waiting for me.
It's hard to see in this picture, but Emma and I made a string of feather lights to symbolize Lyla's nickname during my pregnancy. "Feather."
Little girls are heavenly.

Potty Training
This whole potty training a boy thing is bringing me to a level I never thought I'd hit. I think we've hit rock bottom.
Yes. This is my son, sitting on a training potty I swore I'd never buy, watching cartoons, and eating cereal out of the box. Sigh.

Nathan's Blessing
Little Man was blessed last Sunday. It was so nice to have most of the family together for it. Nathan is going to catch up to Lyla's size before he's a month old!
Welcome to the family Nathanial James! We love you.

Hurray for Summer!
We have been enjoying a very hot, running through the sprinklers, eating popsicles as the juice runs down your hands, putting your pajamas in the freezer before bed kind of summer. And I ♥ it.
The last picture was taken right after Emma ran into the house, very excited, and dragged me by the hand to come look at what she had been doing. When I asked her what it was, she said, "I made a fancy water painting on the deck."
Very fancy.
