Spring Break Do-over

Since Trenton was gone for the kids' Spring Break, and everyone had the plague, we decided to have a do-over.  We rode silly motorized animals around the mall, visited the temple, stayed in a hotel, went swimming, had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, and then visited Casa Bonita.  It was so much fun, it almost made up for the yucky month of March.  Unfortunately, as we were driving home, Lyla started crying and complaining that her ears were hurting her.  By the time we got home, I had to take her to urgent care where she was diagnosed with the flu and a double ear infection.  She was sick for another 3 weeks.  Is it Summer yet?

Easter 2016

While we were in the midst of all this illness, we got a cheerful Easter package in the mail from Heather.  She's always so thoughtful and seems to remember us on every holiday.  The kids desperately needed that ray of sunshine.

Once we were all well, the kids and I started getting ready for a little Easter egg hunt that we had at our house.  We made the obligatory jello eggs and white chocolate nests.  We also did some shopping and found some new chairs for our family room.  I love them!

The weather had a different idea of what Spring should look like, and the night Trenton was supposed to be flying in, we had another blizzard.  The kids and I were so worried!  We had already endured two weeks without him...I don't know that we could have handled another day.  Thankfully, he made it home that evening and all was well.

We enjoyed a beautiful Easter in spite of the weather.  After what I had just been through, having our family complete was all I needed.  And sleep.  I needed lots of sleep.
