Thanksgiving 2016

One of my very favorite things to do is fill the bellies of those that I love.  This year was my first time hosting Thanksgiving.  We were lucky enough to have Bill's family join us, along with some friends and the missionaries in our ward.  I ate and laughed so hard and ate so much throughout the day that I went to bed with sore ribs.

Botanic Gardens

This Fall was so mild that we were able to enjoy a blooming rose garden in the middle of November in downtown Denver at the Botanic Gardens.  I love that place so much.  I hope Heaven has gardens we can wander through.

Football

I'm so proud of my nephew, Stephen, for all his hard work on his varsity football team.  We all showed up for his final game as a high school student, and I think we all felt a little sad.  I can't believe he will be graduating this spring and preparing to serve a mission.  Time rolls on.

Curb Appeal Face-Lift

Due to the giant hail storm we had back in July, and just general wear and tear on the house, we decided to paint the house.  With some serious help from our wonderful and selfless friends, Trenton and I painted our entire house. We went from a creamy/tan color to a misty gray. I especially love the name of the color on the front door- "Swimming Pool." It was a Saturday well spent.

We also took advantage of the warm weather during the late Fall by doing some renovation in the garage and building a patio in our backyard.  Trenton used an old bookshelf that my parents gave him to create these awesome cabinets.  And he built the doors, one by one, by hand.  He's pretty amazing.

Halloween 2016

We kicked off the Halloween season with a super spooky haunted mansion themed party at my friend Janette's house.  We stayed up pretty late the night before getting it all set up, but I think it was worth the effort because it turned out perfectly.  I was a fortune teller for the evening, so I had the opportunity to peer into the lives of my friends and determine their fate.  Good times.

The day of Halloween was filled with school parties and excitement at our house.  We did some trunk or treating and then went around the neighborhood with some friends.  While we were trick or treating, I got the call that my friend, Melissa was in labor and wanted me to take pictures.  So I hopped in the car and headed to the hospital.  What a fun treat!  Such a sweet pumpkin baby.
