Art Expo and a Star

I was so happy when Emma excitedly brought me the invitation to this year's Sand Creek zone Art expo.  This is the second year her art was honored and it was so fun searching the halls of the school for her work.  This drawing was based on a book her class had read.  She titled it, "Happy Little House on Christmas Eve."  I love how there's Christmas lights going up the building and even a little wreath with holly berries above the front door.  Emma's attention to detail makes her such a fun little person. 

I snapped this picture as Lyla and her little friend Scarlett were practicing for their Christmas dance recital.  Are these not the cutest little candy canes you've ever seen?

Speaking of cute, it was Ben's turn this year to put the star on the tree- a duty that the kids look forward to all year long.  Look how adorable Ben's little face is.  Happy boy.
