Christmas Day 2012

Christmas… that magic blanket that wraps itself about us, that something so intangible that it is like a fragrance. It may weave a spell of nostalgia. Christmas may be a day of feasting, or of prayer, but always it will be a day of remembrance -- a day in which we think of everything we have ever loved.

Christmas morning was so special.  We woke up to a heavy blanket of snow, many treats and presents from Santa, and a yummy breakfast.  After our beautiful morning at home, it was time to pack up and head over to Grandma's.  We were blessed with beautiful, fluffy snow the rest of the evening.  By the time we were all ready to head home, Colorado Springs was under a blanket of fresh, diamond-studded snow.  The earth may have been frozen, but my heart was on fire.  What a beautiful Christmas.
