Thanksgiving 2017

We decided to join my sister Heather and her family in Kansas this year for Thanksgiving.  Before heading out, we had a "Friendsgiving" with our closest buddies.  It definitely primed our bellies for the real event.  We also said goodbye to my nephew, Stephen.  He left right before Thanksgiving for his mission in Puebla, Mexico.  We are so proud of him and can't wait to see him again.  We had such a wonderful time in Kansas and it was the most festive beginning to the holiday season.  We shopped, cooked, ate more than I ever thought I could, shopped some more, went to the Kansas City Plaza, took the kids ice skating, and visited Santa.  We also helped Heather and Tim reface their house and paint it.  We were so grateful for the time spent with family and friends, and the unusually warm weather while we painted.
