Our Labor Day weekend was just as it should be- filled with donut breakfasts and picnic lunches, and late afternoon naps outside in the sunshine. We also made the trek out to see the hot air balloon glow with friends and family, but it was too windy to raise the giant balloons. Each pilot tried to please the crowd by doing a light show with the giant torches. I was bummed, but the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. One of the pilots even let Emma and Ben pull the chord that lights the huge flames. On Monday we got together with some of our friends and my family for a picnic at one of our favorite parks. It was a perfect 75 degrees outside and the grass was so pillowy and comfortable. I didn't want to leave.
At the picnic, Shannon and Steve revealed to us that they are expecting their third baby! Woohoo!
After a brief work trip to Texas, Trenton brought me these incredible roses. They were so perfectly orange- they reminded me of a dozen sweet smelling pumpkins.
Emma is holding the very first fallen leaf that we came across while walking home from school. It made us giddy about the gorgeous Fall season to come.
