Chili Cook-off and Grandma's Halloween Party

Our ward had a fun fall festival and chili cook-off.  Trenton and I decided that we would both enter the chili contest.  Our house was full of trash talking for that entire week as we prepared to make our very different chili recipes.  Unfortunately, neither of us won.  Ha ha.  But we asked 3 of our friends to be judges in our own personal contest.  We gave them a blind sample and  2 out of the 3 chose mine. Yay!  It was a very yummy white chili, with tons of cilantro.  I actually entered the same chili in my mom's ward chili contest, and it won most creative.

Lyla was downright giddy while trunk or treating.  I think her favorite moment of the night was when she had 3 suckers in her mouth at once.

The next day we took the kids to a Halloween party at Grandma and Grandpa Cruzan's.  Laurie put together so many fun treats and spooky activities for the kids.  They had such a blast.
