Are the Aughts Really Almost Gone?

Emma made her way onto the naughty list last week. I was out Christmas shopping and Trenton called to ask where Emma might have found bright red ink. She had gotten into one of my stamps that I had been using for Christmas cards. She even managed to get Trenton after he dozed off. He didn't know that he had bright red lips until I got home and suggested he look in the mirror. That will teach him to fall asleep while Emma's awake. We had a beautiful Christmas time. A couple weeks ago, Trenton was offered a position at a company in Denver called Arrow. The shadow that was cast over our holidays lifted when we got that phone call and we couldn't be more thankful. Trenton had some vacation that he needed to use up at HP before severance so he's been enjoying a paid holiday...and so have I. I hope Trenton has even more appreciation for what I do every day as he's been with me during the day to day stuff. I know I appreciate him and all that he does for us that much more and we both have a greater appreciation for the power of prayer.

We had to make the trip out to Seven Falls this year which is never a disappointment. The only thing that was not so fun was that the elevator broke and we had to take the 181 stairs up the steep mountain side to view the falls from the top. I felt like I was going to throw up I was so scared every...single...step but I forced myself to do it just the same, and I'm so glad I did. Two years ago I never would have even considered it... it's amazing the barriers childbirth and parenthood break in the fear department.
We celebrated with Trenton's family at Laurie's on Christmas Eve. We had such a good time.

God Bless
Love,
Janet, Trenton, Emma, Ben, Turtle, Shelby
