Prepping for Christmas

Heather and Tim braved the ice storm happening across the state of Kansas the week of Christmas to drive their family home to Colorado.  They got here late on the 23rd and we all joined together for our traditional pre-Christmas meal at Fargo's.  Once Heather was here, I finally felt like it was Christmas.

I am so thankful for family traditions.  There is nothing I love more than stuffing our trunk full of gifts on Christmas Eve and heading over to Laurie and Darrel's for a festive dinner, presents, and dancing.

Once we got home, it was time to put out the reindeer food, and the milk and cookies for Santa.  Trenton read to the kids and then we wasted no time getting them into bed.  I had been battling a cold, so nothing felt better than crawling into bed and drifting off to the sound of Christmas music.
