It's kind of a no brainer, but there is a huge difference between having dental insurance, and not having dental insurance. Trenton had mistakenly not added Emma to our dental insurance last year, so when it came time for her check-up and two fillings- we were out quite a bit of money, and the place we had to take her was bare bones- to put it nicely. Thankfully, Emma and Ben are both insured this year, and what a difference that makes! We were able to take them to a pediatric dentist that completely caters to their every miniature need, and the staff stomped out any of their anxieties about visiting a dentist. The entire place was decked out in kid-friendly paint, decorations, toys, treasures, and flat-screen TVs continually streaming Smurfs, Toy Story, and Despicable Me. They had 15 different flavors of toothpaste, and Emma and Ben were given their own water bottles filled with tooth-friendly goodies to take home. I was so proud of Ben! My little boy, who is afraid of his own shadow, was giggling and smiling as the dentist poked and prodded with sharp metal instruments. He didn't even flinch. The assistant double checked how old he was because of how well he was handling it all. Way to go little man! Hooray for being a member of the "No Cavity Club!"
