January is one of the ickiest months in existence. It's the most icy, cloudy, financially strapped, nothing-in-the-near-future-to-look-forward-to month! I hate having to say goodbye to the holidays for another year and face the harshness of reality. Kids have to go back to school. Everyone else has to go back to work. No one is stopping by randomly with plates full of goodies. It's just sad! But-Emma and Ben have been keeping me busy enough that it feels that the month has just flown by-the month I despise, almost as much as March, is almost over. We have been trying to bridge the gap between now and warmer days by taking advantage of the sun when it's out and enjoying the company of friends and family as much as possible. Ben is now 5 months and couldn't be sweeter. He is rolling over, sitting (well...kind of) and eating applesauce with his cereal. He is also probably the easiest baby to get laughing- He giggles at just about anything. Emma is 25 months old now and is talking, singing, counting, and loving life. She started dance class on Friday and actually did pretty well for a baby. She was more interested in playing with the toys for the younger siblings-but I think just the experience of having a schedule, others to socialize with, and someone to take direction from will be well worth the money. For me-it was worth it just to see her in her little ballet outfit. Trenton is enjoying his new job in Denver and I have resumed teaching after the holidays. Life is good!
Love,
Janet
