Easter...Blessing

We had a fun Easter with family all around. The Easter Bunny really spoiled all three of us and Emma was blessed in church yesterday. Saturday we enjoyed having family over to dye eggs.  Unfortunately, our plan to have the party out on the deck was derailed due to snow.  So we set up shop in the garage and had a blast.

It was so nice to have both families there to support us as we blessed little Emma..... Emma got a giant stuffed bunny for Easter...........
We got to spend Easter at Grandma Schlosser's and she made Emma an Easter bonnet.
We also got to spend the evening at Heather's for Easter supper...
It was a very busy day for such a tiny little body.

Hope you enjoyed your holiday!

Love,

Janet, Trenton and Emma

Here Comes the Easter Bunny!

I never really understood how fun holidays could be before Emma came along...and she doesn't even understand what's happening yet. Trenton and I have been busy getting used to our new lifestyle as parents and it has been a blast. Emma and I met Trenton at work for some Valentine's Day sushi and then all three of us went to see "Definitely, Maybe." It was a very sweet movie and truly made me appreciate everything I have.

Trenton and I have been debating for a while now whether or not we are going to give up our little Beagle, Gary. He is the most darling animal with the kindest temperament and he's great with Emma. He's just too smart (or dumb depending on how you look at it) for his own good. He can escape from our backyard better than any magician, which is followed by a day of neighborhood trash eating, with the grand finale being a spilling of his guts onto our carpet through the night. The very carpet that he has used as his "outside" for sometime and even chewed on a little. If you're wondering why we still have him...take a look...

Anyways,  he's sweet and my theory is that we took him on as a member of our family. He's with us 'till the end. Lets just pray the end is near. Just kidding...maybe.

Emma has been growing like a wildflower. She rolls over, smiles like crazy, and is sleeping through the night. Could I really ask for more? I am having a blast with her.  I now have a real life baby doll, and she doesn't scratch me like the cats used to when I'd try and play dress-up with them.  At her two month appointment she was up to 11 pounds and almost 23 inches long. The doc says she'll be tall like her mom. She also got her immunizations.

Before her shots...
After her shots...
Poor baby.

Trenton and I have been trying to enjoy the outdoors as much as we can with what little warmth we've had on the weekends lately. It always seems to be 70 degrees during the week and then snowing on the weekends.

Emma also got to go down to Pueblo to meet her Aunt Lisa...

Unfortunately, my Grandma Eunice Fryer passed away this month. She was 92 years old and left quite a beautiful legacy behind. The funeral was peaceful, flowers lovely, and it was comforting to have so much family here. While death is never easy, her passing was a testament to the circle of life. Days before she passed, the family, including my Aunt Bonnie who came in from Ohio, enjoyed dinner at "Fargo's." While at the restaurant I couldn't help but look at my Grandma's two daughters, who have given her 9 grandchildren, who then gave 15 great grandchildren. It's interesting when you're viewing your family like a spectator.  It's impossible to not recognize the impact one person's blessed life can make.

Trenton and I enjoyed a traditional Irish supper of Corned Beef, potatoes, and cabbage at Heather's on St. Patty's Day.

Well, now that St. Patrick's Day is over we can look forward to the Easter Bunny!!! I have been spending the day making Jello eggs and bunny shaped cookies for all the little ones to enjoy tomorrow. I am having my nieces and nephews over to dye eggs, decorate cookies, and do Easter crafts. It should be fun. We will also be blessing Emma on Easter morning if anyone is interested in attending. Our church meets at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Murry Blvd at 8:30. Hope to see you there! Speaking of Emma...As if there weren't already enough...here are a few more pictures to sustain you until next time...

Have a very happy Easter! I love you all.
