We had such a wonderful 4th of July weekend this year. The park at the school on the end of our street offers a perfect view of the fireworks at the Sky Sox stadium the night before the 4th, so we didn't have to worry about the traffic and crowds at the city display. Before heading up to the fireworks, we made some red, white, and blue strawberries and had Chinese food, and then we enjoyed treats up at the park with friends. On the 4th, we enjoyed a picnic with friends from our church, then we wandered around Manitou and enjoyed the warm weather. That evening we had my family over for a BBQ followed by watching fireworks from our porch.
Our animals were frightened by the fireworks, so when we came home we found them snuggling. Sweetness.
